Receiving the Ball (First Touch) Clinic

A bad first touch turns a good pass into a scramble.

A good first touch makes the game look easy.

This clinic is about choosing the second option.

The First Touch Clinic is for players who are tired of the ball bouncing three feet away, getting poked by a defender, or hearing their coach yell “SETTLE!” from across the field.

We’ll focus on controlling the ball cleanly and purposefully—so players can receive under pressure, keep possession, and actually do something smart with their next touch.

Led by active college-level players who rely on their first touch to survive real games, this clinic keeps things practical, fast, and game-real (no cones standing in politely).

What we’ll work on:

  • Receiving with different surfaces (inside, outside, sole, thigh—yes, all of them)
  • First touch away from pressure, not into it
  • Controlling balls in the air and on the ground
  • Setting up the next pass, shot, or move with intent
  • Playing faster by thinking less (the good kind)

If your player wants more time on the ball—and fewer panic touches—this clinic is for them.

Cost: $124 per session (includes four 55-minute classes and a T-shirt)

Goal Scoring Skills Clinic

Goals change games. This clinic is all about creating them—and finishing them when it matters.

Some players pass when they should shoot.

Some players shoot when they should pass.

This clinic is for fixing at least one of those problems.

The Goal Scoring Skills Clinic is for players who want to stop almost scoring and start actually putting the ball in the net. We’ll work on finishing in ways that translate to real games—under pressure, with defenders around, and without unlimited time to think about it.

Training is led by active college-level players who have, in fact, scored goals against real humans and know what works when the moment matters.

Things we’ll obsess over:

  • Finishing with power, finesse, or whatever the situation demands
  • Hitting the target instead of the ceiling, wall, or spectators
  • Bending the ball intentionally (wild hope curves don’t count)
  • Volley finishes and quick one-touch shots
  • Finishing crosses without panicking
  • 1v1s against the keeper (winner usually celebrates)

If your player loves scoring goals—or really wants to—this clinic is for them.

Cost: $124 per session (includes four 55-minute classes and a T-shirt)

Fitness & Agility for Sports (11-16)

For Athletes Who are Serious About Improving

This is the part where your kid gets faster, stronger, and harder to catch.

Fitness & Agility for Sports is built to boost speed, acceleration, and change-of-direction skills so athletes stop running like baby giraffes and start moving like actual teammates you want on the field. Each player starts with an initial assessment, then works through a six-week progressive program, finishing with a final assessment and a take-home performance report with clear next steps (not just “run more”).

Each session includes:

  • Quick athlete briefing (what we’re doing and why)
  • Dynamic warm-up (not just standing in a circle touching toes)
  • Speed and agility skill work
  • Competitive games and “who’s actually faster” moments
  • Strength and power exercises
  • Cooldown so they can still walk the next day

Our coaching staff works with youth and teen athletes across multiple sports and focuses on smart training, real game speed, and staying on the field instead of on the injury list.

Cost: $155 per session (includes four 55-minute classes and a T-shirt)

Sundays 6PM – 7PM // 5-Week Sections

Goalkeeper Training Clinic (9-13)

Beginner

Because somebody’s gotta stop all those shots.

Being a keeper isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s for the brave souls who dive at flying soccer balls, fling themselves into chaos, and occasionally get blamed for everything (sorry, it’s the job). Our Goalkeeper Training Clinic is built to sharpen reflexes, tighten technique, and build the confidence to stare down a striker without blinking.

Small groups mean more reps, more personalized instruction, and less standing around pretending you’re stretching. And leading the charge? A former professional player from Brazil—yes, actual Brazil, the country where they take soccer as seriously as we take coffee refills.

You’ll work on fundamentals, advanced shot-stopping, distribution, footwork, and the mental side of keeping (like how to stay calm when your defenders decide defending is optional).

Translation: If you’re a goalkeeper who wants to level up—or just someone who likes diving through the air dramatically—this clinic is for you.

Goalkeeper Training Clinic (11-15)

KidsAfrik Soccer Clinic

5-week classes of skill Training for both Advanced and new to soccer.

We help our players master both Skills and understanding of the game.

Most of our focus is to train our players to be comfortable with the soccer ball, by utilizing during our small-sided scrimmages the skill learned during our one-on-one training, Our focus is mostly on how to keep possession of the ball at all times as a player and as a team.

Skills that we try to teach your child are dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, shielding and much more,.

Our first and most important goal is for your child to enjoy his/her new way of playing whether it leads them to future higher-level soccer, or not.
